Canon powershot d10 vs powershot sd1100 is with underwater housing?

I had a Canon powershot d10, but my friend opened the battery compartment underwater, ruining the camera. I'm looking into buying another one, but I also came across the waterproof housing for the Canon powershot sd1100 is. The sd1100 is with waterproof housing is waterproof up to 130 ft, while the d10 is only waterproof up to 30 ft, so I thought maybe this would be a better investment. However, I was very pleased with the quality of the photographs taken with the d10 and don't want to sacrifice the picture quality for a greater depth. Does anyone have any experience with taking underwater photographs with the sd1100 is? Which would be a better investment? Thanks!
