How is our relationship looking and how to make her first date great?

Well so far here is how things stand. 6 months ago I started having a crush my best friend (call her Amy). Amy and I got along really well and it was easy to see that we both liked each other by the constant flirting. Amy is a Mormon and I'm catholic so that's a big thing to mention. During this time she was 15 and I was 16 so she couldn't date yet. Amy admitted to me that she had a crush on me on valentines day but she told me she couldn't date. I respected that. During the next few days Amy seemed to act weird and easily I can tell she wasn't feeling comfortable with me liking her and she liking me back cause shes shy, nervous, worried about dating and relationships. I could of stopped her and told her this myself but I feel like she need to take charge in her love life or else she will never learn. Soon enough I was right and she told straight forward that she wasnt comfortable with all this. I simply smiled and told her I knew. We hugged and and agreed that we were still cool but before I got my things and left she gave me a present. She gave me a book of Mormon and at first I had no idea why since I'm not Mormon but she told me to read it. 4 months have ped since then and I finally finished reading it. Amy turned 16 and said that she couldn't wait to start dating. During the 4 months I dated other girls and I'm still getting more wanting to go on dates. Anyway Amy invited me to go to a picnic to celebrate the end of the year. It was a little one with only 5 of her friends. During the picnic it was night time and everyone was tired so I took a little walk. Running behind me was Amy, she was worried that I was going to leave but I calmed her down saying in going for a walk. She joined me and I liked it, it reminded me that I never really stopped liking her. I just felt like she didn't like me anymore so I might as well move on. Anyway Amy asked me what is my relationship with this other girl I talked with a lot. I told her we were just good friends and nothing more. Amy tells me Which girl likes me haha. Amy then said to me that she tried to forget about me and move on but she couldn't and was afraid to come back to me after everything she said. She also admitted that she was SO jealous of me going on dates with Many girls. I told her they didn't mean anything to me it's just for fun. Most of those dates I played wingman lol. I told her that I rather go on a date with her anytime. She smiled and said why don't I. I smiled took her hand and asked her on a date. She smiled and said yes! Now I know that we have to go on a group date but any other rules I should follow. Im a gentlemen so I won't do anything idiotic or stupid. I respect her and I just want to make her first date one she'll enjoy. And what do u think of our relationship?
