When a father asks his children to clean up after his own lazy mess?

I do agree with you. But, I don't think you can, or should, do anything to try to change him. How old are you? I think you should just start making plans now to move out as soon as that is a possible solution. I understand why his behavior bothers you. It is just his way. At his age, he is not likely to change. Once you move out on your own, you won't have to put up with it, and at least you were bothered by it enough that you will not p this behavior on to the next generation. My advice, deal with it, and move out as soon as is logically possible.
